How it Works
Chipco Signature improves turf quality and inhibits fungal growth and development in several ways. First, it helps turf to “self-manage” its stresses, through a complex series of actions. Second, it stimulates the production of phytoalexins, which are “natural pesticides” produced by the plant. Then, Signature increases the carbohydrates found in the plant tissue. This helps the turfgrass to better survive periods of stress. Finally, Signature stimulates the production of mycorrhizae, which improve the plant’s growth and health.

FAQ
Q: What is turf quality and how does Signature affect turf quality?

A: Turf quality is a measurement of vigor, disease control, root development, density, color, uniformity and overall appearance of turf. In trials, Signature tank mixes have been shown to increase the quality of turf in addition to providing effective disease control.

Q: What is the recommended summer decline management program for superintendents?
A: Application timing is important to achieve optimum results. It is critical that multiple applications are made prior to turf stress. In the Northern turfgrass zone, begin Signature tank-mix applications between May 15 and June 1, and continue every 14 days until summer decline is no longer a factor.
