Allectus Insect Control for Southeast Golf Courses

Pests controlled
Allectus is the only product available to control all major surface feeding and subsurface insects, including:
  • mole crickets
  • armyworms
  • cutworms
  • sod webworms
  • grubs
  • fire ants
  • and more

Application recommendations
Allectus is available in granular (Allectus GC) and liquid (Allectus SC GC) formulations for golf courses and provides up to 12 weeks of residual control. Optimum control will be achieved when applications are made prior to egg hatch of target pest(s), followed by sufficient irrigation or rainfall to move the active ingredient through the thatch. Applications should not be made when turfgrass areas are waterlogged or when the soil is saturated with water.

Granular application
Apply at a broadcast rate of 100 to 125 pounds per acre (2.3 to 2.9 pounds per 1,000 square feet).

Liquid application
The application rate for turf is 3.6 to 4.5 pints per acre (1.32 to 1.65 fluid ounces per 1,000 square feet). The SC formulation also is labeled for both soil and foliar application for control of ornamental pests on your course. See the product label for ornamental pest rate recommendations.

Application timing
Because Allectus controls multiple insect stages, turf managers have a wide window of application for convenient management options. For optimum season-long control of pests above and below ground in the Southeast, make one application in April and a second application in July.
